SCBOND SR 91 is brownish yellow synthetic Rubber based chloroprene rubber containing contact adhesives that are specifically created for the industrial market. When dried, it forms a resilient, flexible film that is resistant to age and water and holds in 5-10 min.
It is a multi-purpose adhesive suitable for bonding variety of substrates such as Foam,Rubber, leather, EVA, rexine, footwear, canvas, PVC flooring and Furniture upholstery . Also used for AC unit & duct insulation application.
• Surface for bonding should be dry, clean, and free of dust, grit, oil or grease.
• Stir adhesive well and make it homogeneous prior to use.
• Using brush or spreader to apply adhesive uniformly in thin layer on both the substrates to be bonded
• To develop tack, let the solvent content in the sticky layer evaporate before bonding and It will evaporate and set in 5-10 mins as per temperature and humidity. Ensure proper alignment of both contact surfaces.
• Bond both substrates under firm pressure without air gaps. The optimum bond strength is achieved in sometime.
