Lagaaya or chipak gaya
New HIGHTEX is a Synthetic Rubber based adhesive made with a special formula for having excellent heat resistance property up-to 170°C temperature. SCBOND HIGHTEX is Excellent HEATPROOF adhesive provide Strong Bond and Quick Setting Formula with absence of a spring back action, ideal for lamination of curved surface, vertical lamination and inner surfaces of furniture.
• Surface for bonding should be dry, clean, and free of dust, grit, oil or grease.
• Stir adhesive well and make it homogeneous prior to use.
• Using brush or spreader to apply adhesive uniformly in thin layer on both the substrates to be bonded
• To develop tack, let the solvent content in the sticky layer evaporate before bonding and It will evaporate in 2 to 4 mins as per temperature and humidity. Ensure proper alignment of both contact surfaces.
• On absorbent or permeable materials such as leather/chipboard, bonding may be possible within a matter of 5-10 minutes of application; on non-absorbent or non-permeable materials (eg. Formica/Metal) a minimum of 15 minutes should elapse before the surfaces are bonded.
• Bond both substrates under firm pressure without air gaps. The optimum bond strength is achieved after 24 hours.
• In vertical application keep 2 mm gap between two adjacent laminates and width of each laminate should be maximum 61 cm.
